+Q.A+

.How would you describe your style? My style is very vintage inspired. I find deconstruction the best tool to create my own style.What/Who inspires your wardrobe and why? I try to follow the latest trends making them my own with what I have and my style. I also get inspired by fashion blogs that I follow; I think there’s where the strongest trends come from. What are your favorite places to shop? Ebay, Vintage shops and markets. It´s always great to find a unique and incredible garment, and deconstruct it to adapt it  to my body and the newest trend.Who are your favorite designers? Lately Julien Macdonald, Maison Martin Margiela, Ashish, Balenciaga, Christopher Kane, Alexander Wang... and I can go on and on.What do you think is the latest trend to appear/reappear, and what are your thoughts on it? The circle of inspiration of trends right now is going through the 80s and 90s, and I think that it will stay for a while till we are further away from the 00s which will become the future trends.Any trend you would not mind seeing go away? High waist (anything). What's on your iPod / bookshelf / DVD player at the moment?Fever Ray, to sew on the machine; Queens of the Stone Age, to run; The Dead Weather and Generationals on my computer; Starfucker and the new album of Phoenix in my car. What color is most prevalent in your closet and why? Right now most of the clothes that I’m buying and wearing is black, maybe because I used to wear a lot of color… black gives more elegance to clothes, and I like to mix it wearing a simple pair of Doc. Martens giving it a more casual look. What is your favorite piece in your wardrobe? Uuff a lot… I think my Vintage Lace Dress from my Grandmother, Emma Cook Black Boots and my Red Chloé Boots (inspired on Doc. Martens). What is your favorite city to shop in and why? I haven’t had the opportunity to travel to a lot of places. But Austin, TX has a lot of vintage shops with a good selection where I have found incredible pieces for a really good price. And in the markets in my city, you can also find incredible pieces for just a few cents. What clothing item/accessory are you regularly wearing now? Black Doc. Martens ankle boots. What do you usually do with your free time (music, read, cook, etc.)? Does it ever inspire your sense of fashion? I study fashion design, so I spend most of my free time looking at fashion blogs (a great source of inspiration to what I do). I design and re-design vintage clothes. What trend from the past would like to make a comeback? The large cigarette holder. What clothing item would you say is timeless?Jeans. What is the key to becoming a stylish girl? Having passion for fashion
